Obituary for Evangeline Bielak

Evangeline  Bielak
Evangeline T. Bielak, 84, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of October 6, 2018.

Born in New Castle on March 19, 1934, Evangeline was the daughter of the late Paul and Stella Cygonowski Pappas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bielak, whom she married in 1966.

Evangeline was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Mary, Mother of Hope Parish.

In her earlier years, she had worked as a telephone operator. Evangeline enjoyed knitting, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Evangeline was a loving and doting wife, mother and grandmother who cherished the times she spent with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Frank Bielak of New Castle, Lynn (Travis) Rose of Honolulu, HI. Michelle (Mark) Foster of Mercer, PA; her sister, Helen Bayuk and her grandchildren, Sam, Victoria and Zane.

In addition to her parents and husband, Evangeline is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 South Mill St.

A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 9:30Am for St. Mary’s Church, Mary, Mother of Hope Parish where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM officiated by Rev. Father Zack Galiyas.

Burial will take place at St. Philip and James Cemetery.
