Obituary for John Dantico

John Dantico
John Dantico, 72, of West Pittsburg, PA, passed away the evening of December 2, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on November 30, 1945 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Joseph and Florence D’Angelo Dantico. Surviving at home is his beloved wife of 48 years, the former Jennifer Medure, whom he married on October 18, 1969.

In 2005, John retired from his job as a shipper for Tanner Plating after working for 40 years. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church. John enjoyed gardening, completing crossword puzzles, and watching gameshows. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his son, John A. Dantico and wife Misty of Hendersonville, TN, brother, Joseph Dantico II of New Castle, and grandsons, Joseph Andrew Dantico and Anthony John Dantico. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Yohman and Elvera Shugart, and father- and mother-in-law, John and Lena Medure.

Visitation will take place Wednesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Thursday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Vincent DePaul Church, officiated by Father Frank Almade.

Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
