William James Champion
William James Champion, 73, of Wampum, PA, passed away the evening of November 27, 2017 at UPMC Shadyside. Born on January 26, 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Leslie D. and Gertrude M. Boozell Champion.

William had worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and welder.

He is survived by his children, James Champion and wife Vivian of Wampum, PA, Gertrude Worrell and husband Richard of Ellwood City, PA, Doreen Gravatt and husband Jeff of Wampum, PA, Cathy Mullins and husband Chris of Chatsworth, GA, and Billie Esposito of Beaver Falls, PA; sisters, Rachel Greenwalt of Chicago, IL and Kathleen Conrad of Ocoee, FL; brother, Harold Champion of Ellwood City, PA; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Champion, brother, Leslie Champion, and sisters, Mary Powell and Margaret Dobbins.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at First Baptist Church 220 Fountain Ave, Ellwood City, PA. Services will be conducted Friday at 6:00pm at the church, conducted by Pastor Dave McQuaid.
