Ethel M. Hudson
Ethel M. Hudson, 91, formerly of Galbreath Avenue, passed away the morning of September 30, 2017 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born on May 9, 1926 in New Castle, she was the daughter of John and Susan Bara Koch. On November 22, 1945, she married her beloved husband, Kenneth Hudson Jr., and the two of them spent 56 years together until he preceded her in death on February 7, 2002.

In her early years, Ethel had worked as a sales clerk for Richman Brothers. She was a member of Independent Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Ethel is survived by her children, Miriam Palumbo and husband Frank of New Castle, Kenneth J. Hudson and wife Shelley of Ellwood City, PA, Connie Mariacher and husband George of New Castle, and Robin Finamore and husband David of New Castle; sister, Helen Fullerton of New Castle; grandchildren, Alyssa Pyer and Jim, Frank A. Palumbo, Kenneth J. Hudson Jr. and Brittany, Kylie Hall and John, Shannon Finamore, Danielle Finamore, Aaryn Mariacher and Lisa, and Zach Mariacher; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her eight brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00am at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Frederick Gilbert.

Interment will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
